How to integrate your Apple Search Ads account and MMP

Apple Search Ads Integration

See how to use Sign in with Apple method to integrate your Apple Search Ads account (campaign group) to AppAds

Here are the 2 steps you need to follow and it takes around 3 minutes to complete:

1.1 Login to AppAds;

(1) Existing Account Integration

If you want to renew an existing integration with this new method, simply go to the Integration page on the Menu.

Click Sign in with Apple, and it will redirect you to the Apple's dashboard where you need to sign in to your Apple ID.

(2) New Account Integration (Onboarding)

If you are a new user in AppAds, you need to sign up an AppAds account at first.

After creating account and signing in, you'll see Sign in with Apple. Click Sign in with Apple, it will redirect you to the Apple Search Ads' dashboard where you need to sign in to your Apple Search Ads account.

1.2 Grant Access

After signing in to Apple Search Ads, you will be on the access page. Please kindly select Account Read & Write access, and then click Grant Access.

With above steps, the integration will be done and you will be redirected to the AppAds.

Attention:

  • A. You need to have an Administrator Permission to grant access to the Apple Search Ads Account.

  • B. You have to give AppAds Read & Write access. You have 3 options here:

- Account Read & Write - This option grants Read & Write access to all campaign groups within the account. If the Account Permission is granted, syncing of new accounts will handled automatically.

- Account Read Only - This option grants Read access to all campaign groups within the account.

- Limited access - This option grants access to certain campaign groups you choose within the account.

Please note that, if you do not grant Read & Write access to the campaign groups that you want to manage on AppAds, you will not be able to take any actions on the campaigns through AppAds platform. Therefore, if you want to move forward with the Limited Access option, make sure to list all campaign groups that need to be accessible by AppAds.

IMPORTANT:

If you are renewing an existing integration with this method, you need to grant access to AppAds to all campaign groups that you have been managing on AppAds, and any new campaign group that you want to add.

  • C. If you have multiple Apple Search Ads accounts, you need to integrate them separately by repeating these steps above.

  • D. If you are starting Apple Search Ads from scratch, you need to create a campaign in your Apple Search Ads account first for you to be able to see your app in AppAds. The campaign will be just a dummy, so it can be with a really low budget and you can pause it after the integration.

After completing these steps, you're good to go! You should be able to see your recently uploaded API certificate on the Integration page.

Integrate with Branch

  • Log into your Branch account from here

  • Go to Account Settings > AGENCIES, and choose Add New Agency.

  • Search for "AppAds" and select it, click Invite.

  • When we accept the invitation, the Integration is set up.

PS: The invitation link will expire after 24 hours and can be re-sent on the same screen after expiration.

  • Sign in AppAds account,go to Attribution > Partners > Click "Branch"

  • Select APP, enter APP ID, click "Save"

PS: This App ID is from the account settings of Branch.

Integration Status Terms

Please note that the following terms are listed in order.

No Integration:

This means that you have not completed any of the integration with MMP.

Pending Integration:

This means that you have connected your MMP, but the connection was not successful.

Pending First Event:

This means that you have already connected your MMP successfully and we are waiting to receive the first event after the integration. It will likely take up to 48 hours to receive the first event after the integration. If you have not received any events after 48 hours, an email will be sent to you to notify you of a possible integration issue.

If you are still seeing Pending First Event status 48 hours after the first integration, there are three possible reasons;

1. There is still no install or in-app event that occurred after the integration of this app.2. The integration setup between MMP and the app may not be correct. Please contact us.

3. The integration setup between MMP and AppAds may not be correct. Please contact us.

Create First Goal:

This means we have received the first event after the integration successfully. To see your metrics on the Ads Manager page, go ahead and create your goals.

Successfully Integrated:

This means that after the first event is received and the first goal is created, your integration is complete and you now have a successful integration! You can now see your MMP-related metrics on the Ads Manager.

Quick insight on AppAds sections and layers

Welcome to the AppAds platform! Let's have an overview to give you a quick insight into the sections and layers.

Let's start with the navigation bar on the left. In the navigation bar, you have quick access to the Dashboard, Ads Manager, Automations, Keywords Planner, Attribution, Integration, Settings respectively.

Dashboard

With Dashboard, you can:

  1. Get Top Keywords by Spend, Impressions, Taps.

  2. Get Top Ad Groups by Spend, Impressions, Taps.

  3. Compare Campaign Performance over Gender, Device

  4. View the overall data of the app: Spend, Taps, Impressions……

Ads Manager

On the Ads Manager page, you can have the data and the management ability.

  1. Total summary is the snapshot of your data.

  2. Cohort analysis is the section in which you can get action and analysis data.

  3. Add or remove keywords and negative keywords in bulk

Automations

With Automation, you can create automation rules which will significantly reduce your manual work. Our automation rules are customizable and flexible.

You can tweak the rules in the details to serve your campaign most effectively.

Keywords Planner

On this page you can find;

  • Bidding Apps which will allow you to search apps that are running Apple Search Ads campaigns

  • Bidding Keywords which will allow you to monitor the keywords of your Apple Search Ad competitors and to predict their strategies.

  • App Store Ranking which will allow you to search for detailed insight into ranking Apps

  • Organic Keyword which will allow you to search for any app and view their organic keywords.

Attribution:

You can easily integrate MMP data into the AppAds platform.

AppAds is partner with Branch.

Goals:

  1. you can see the goal button on several layers in the Ads Manager section.

  2. You can create a custom goal for your app.

  3. Select the app

  4. Select the in-app events you have configured through your MMP

Name your target. There you go!

Integration:

On this page, you are going to integrate your Apple Search Ads API credentials into AppAds to generate detailed information for your account.

Settings:

Here, you can set up relevant personal information, change your account password, and bind your credit card.
