Tracking and analyzing user session count helps evaluate product engagement and identify churn risks. It can provide data-driven insights for optimizing feature design, marketing campaigns, and event strategies.

You can now use Session Count to monitor and analyze in-app user engagement across one or more apps. The following metrics are available:

Average Session Count per user per day

Total Session Count per day

Select up to ten apps and compare their time-spend trends side by side in an interactive line chart.

Metrics Comparison

Because app metrics often influence one another, you can overlay any of these engagement charts with other key performance indicators—app ranking, downloads, revenue, or active users—to spot correlations.

Event Analysis

Go deeper by mapping critical events against your usage trends to uncover what drives spikes or drops in engagement. Supported events include:

● Custom in-app events

● Custom Product Page

● Meta ad campaigns

● App ranking changes (e.g. falling off top charts)

● Keyword removals or updates

Once you select an event type, a Gantt chart appears below the trend lines, clearly showing when each event occurred in relation to your usage shifts.

Data Details

At the bottom, a detailed data table lists all of the above metrics for every selected app and date. We’ve also built in AI-powered review analysis tools, so you can instantly surface core user insights from thousands of app store reviews without leaving the page.
